Donate to Veterans Village Today!

Veteran’s Village is supported by your donations and our community partners. Veterans Village is an environment that is home to United States Veterans and their families. This is a unique and innovative approach to holistic and comprehensive housing with support services. Public and private collaborative partnerships have been created to provide services to residents including education and degree programs, nutritional programs, exercise training, medical services, mental health counseling, specialized activities and special events. With your generous support, our veterans have a safe place to live and transition back into the civilian society.

Special thank you and big shout out to HELP of Southern Nevada for their tireless efforts and working in partnership with Veterans Village to get many Veterans, individuals and families with children off the streets and into housing at the Homeless Intervention day yesterday. There are so many HELP people to thank and Ms. Kelly Robson is just one who is an amazingly dedicated humanitarian. HELP of SN defines what a nonprofit organization should be–Serving people first–

This is an image of our Crisis intervention lobby at Veterans Village and two of our staff members, Ms. Wendy Grant and Ms. Sarah Michelle as they triage the newly arrived residents. Our staff is very dedicated as well–

Vehicle Donations Now Being Accepted With Titan Towing

Veterans Village has partnered up with Titan Towing, a Las Vegas-based towing company, to create a program that will pick up donated junk vehicles from any location in the Las Vegas area at no cost to the donor. The proceeds from the sale of vehicles will benefit Veterans Village.

We invite you to donate your running or non-running vehicle with clear titles. In some cases, registered owners can submit a “bill of sale” form if their title is lost and Titan Towing will handle all the DMV paperwork regarding donated vehicles.

Veterans Village Goes To The Streets

Veterans Village joined the B Street & Owens Outreach Intervention “Mini Housing Connect” effort and took in 8 new residents in collaboration with Clark County, HELP of Southern Nevada and the Salvation Army agencies.

Michael, who is pictured here and was living in his tent when we found him. He is a United States Veteran and we took him in at Veterans Village, got him immediate medical attention, clothing from our Veterans Village Thrift Store, food and supplies from our donor and Three Square food pantry and he was greeted and welcomed by fellow Veterans and our Veteran staff members in our lobby.

None of this process is easy, but I feel great that yesterday we took 8 people from the streets and are housing them at Veterans Village in an environment filled with respect and dignity, the way it should be.

If you would like to donate your time, non perishable food items or cash donation please contact me ta 702-624-5792Michael

An update on our Veteran resident “Michael”: We found him living in a tent at a homeless camp a week ago and took him to Veterans Village for safe housing. Special thanks to The Salvation Army, HELP of Southern Nevada, First Person Care Clinics, Three Square Regional Food Bank and our own Greg Brannon, V Village Crisis Intervention Specialist who all helped triage Michael through this process. This is what makes all of the 24/7 triage work worth while. One resident at a time off the street and back to a life of dignity. Our Veterans deserve ONLY the best!
